How to organize product options and variants
Make sizes, colors, stock, and product information easier for shoppers and your team to understand.

Start with the choice a shopper makes
Use options for decisions such as size, color, or finish. Keep labels short and consistent across the collection. A size called Medium on one page and M on another creates avoidable uncertainty.
Give each sellable item a clear identity
Each combination that you stock needs a recognizable record. Keep its price, stock, and image aligned with what the customer selected. Review sold-out combinations instead of leaving buyers to discover availability late in checkout.
Write descriptions for comparison
Help shoppers choose with dimensions, materials, care instructions, compatibility, or fit where relevant. Put the most important facts near the buying decision and avoid repeating a generic brand paragraph on every product.
Review the catalog as a customer
Filter and browse your own collections. Check that names, thumbnails, and prices explain the differences between products. Remove duplicate categories and make the route back to related products obvious.
